Just completed a test for a Gentleman that needed to get a 6 for his house to pass. He was initially getting a 9, and had plenty of work to do to get it right, in the end, he got a 2.3 and was gobsmacked at the result.
It was a small bungalow with quite a few radiators. Behind each, the builder/plumber had, again, smacked holes in the wall for the flexible pipes to be trailed through. As well, the skirting boards that were out of site were not siliconed top and bottom.
The corrective action at this point was to take all the radiators off the racks, and then foam behind them as well as silicone the skirting boards where possible. This coupled with a few glaring holes around pipes and doorframes moved my latest customer from a fail to a pass in a couple of hours.
For more information or to book a test, call me on 01484 686649 or visit my website on http://www.hometestingyorkshire.co.uk/
I hope this helps
Matt
