Skirting Boards
Okay, you can gain alot from focussing on these from the very beginning. I have said it before and I will say it again, it will get you improve your score by 2 typically if you take the action I recommend.
If you are putting carpet in, silicone at the top and bottom of the skirting board prior to testing.
If you are putting hard wood flooring or laminate, foam behind the skirting boards and then apply them. If the flooring installer needs to get better access, foam is much easier to remove than silicone.
Make sure you do all the skirting boards, including internal walls.
